If you keep looking, you can do even better; https://www.thailandallit.com/product/2799/dell-optiplex-3010-cpu-i5-3470-ram-4-hdd-500-gb-เลือกแบบครบชุดได้ค่ะ for 4,000 baht

You'll possibly be using a TV as a monitor.

A nice find. Won't break the budget either and plenty of power for green screening. However, no SSD.

SSD you can add yourself for 600 baht upwards(though I would not necessarily buy the cheapest). Did you expect them to add an SSD at those prices?

https://www.advice.co.th/product/solid-state-drive-ssd-

The new Samsung for 890 baht would be the lowest I would go in a low capacity drive; https://www.tomshardware.co.uk/samsung-850-ssd,review-34106-2.html

All dependent on your budget.

Can talk you through clean installing Windows 10 Pro to the SSD for free, as opposed to having to upgrade over the top.

You don't have to clean install, you can just clone. but you aren't going to get more processing power.

That thing just won't cut it.

Better to pick up a cheap second hand tower unit with an i3/15 CPU for perhaps 3k and start afresh.

Example; https://www.thailandallit.com/product/8/dell-optiplex-7010-รุ่น-top-pc-dell-มือสอง-pc-dell-ราคาถูก at a minimum.

Another example;

So that is the kind of processing power you need to get the best from the software.

I've decided to upgrade the ram and the drive.

I'll DIY and clone the drive.

Before I purchase these 3 items I'd like your input on their suitability.

You haven't told what you are upgrading. Have I missed something?

None of those components would be my choice and cloning the drive is not a necessary step.

Will the above components fit into this? Is the ram the correct one?

Sorry for the text but there's no option to delete a wrong quote.

Erm...no.

That is PC RAM, not laptop RAM. Plus it is for AMD, not Intel.

You need SODIMM, not DIMM. Also low voltage RAM; 8gb DDR3L PC3L-12800

Example: https://www.advice.co.th/product/ram-for-notebook/notebook-ddr3l-1600-/ram-ddr3l-1600-nb-8gb-hynix-16-chip

https://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c04353989

A lot to spend on an 11.6" low resolution screen laptop.

Also, if you are going to use a program wherein there will be continuous writing to the drive, such as from multiple webcams, don't go cheap on the SSD.

Okay, thanks.

At this time I'll only be using a single webcam.

Though, ManyCam is known for its resource hogging.

Can you confirm that the attached pic is the correct ram?

That looks better. Confirm with the vendor that it will work with your laptop. That way if there are any issues, you will have something in writing.

Only clone if you have a complicated setup that will take too long to replicate. You don't want to clone any resource hogging bloatware that may have been supplied with the laptop.

Clean install is the way, if you want to get the best out of such a device.

Bear in mind that I stated earlier that I do not recommend the SSD of your choice; https://ssd.userbenchmark.com/SpeedTest/296710/KINGSTON-SA400S37480G

Don't go cheap. Look at the reviews.

This will explain why;

If you want to go for 480 GB to 500 GB, my choice would be for the; https://www.invadeit.co.th/product/solid-state-drives-ssd/crucial/mx500-500gb-2-5inch-internal-ssd-ct500mx500ssd1-p034804/

Personally, I would have skipped the RAM in order to afford the better SSD....if money were an issue. The difference that more RAM makes is negligible, once you have fitted the SSD.

Clean install better than cloning old rubbish over to a new SSD.

How will replacing the HDD with an SSD help with providing more power for the ManyCam software program?

Regarding the ram, if I could type Chinese I would probably get a reply from the vendor.

It was you who stated that you wanted upgrade that laptop. I recommended that you buy a second hand PC.

RAM alone is a total waste of money. SSD or forget about it.

Again, if you want to see the performance differential in adding RAM or SSD, look to post #57.

Here again;

Me having to repeat the same things, isn't going to change the answer.

Fitting an SSD is the best thing that you can do with your current device.
