I don't agree. Americans are concerned about their borders and keep in mind for many decades the borders were opened and nobody got concerned about it.
And yes they are concerned about the situation in Ukraine, good news.
Now that the Spanish are wising up and they are now hated there, the shining beacons of other on-line idiots proclaiming the promised land draw them here.
Wait till the numbers burgeon
Perhaps Thailand should have an agreement like the US........ more money would be coming into the country for expats to spend here. I receive UK state pension of £400 per month which has not increased for 20 years. I have a military pension on which I pay UK tax. I do not trouble the UK NHS, ask for benefits or claim a heating allowance or free bus pass !!... but nice to know that the Immigrants in UK are enjoying their stay that I am helping to pay for. Has anybody seen a copy of the 'Areement' between Thailand and the UK ?
this doesn't just apply to mobile phone numbers registered since 2022. My mobile was registered in 2014 when I moved to Thailand, and I received notification from Krungthai Bank a few months ago with regards to this. So just make sure that the data on both matches exactly, viz full name and the form of ID used to open the bank account and register the mobile number. If you've had a passport renewal and updated that info with the bank make sure you also update that info with the mobile service or the bank will restrict your online banking use until you do.
