Teenager Thunberg angrily tells U.N. climate summit 'you have stolen my dreams'

The attacks on her based on her neurological differences are even too much for "trump" propaganda network Fox News to stomach!

A Fox News guest called Greta Thunberg ‘mentally ill.’ The network apologized for the ‘disgraceful’ comment.

Michael Knowles had just finished discussing why he believes meatless diets may be worse for the environment during a Fox News segment about climate change on Monday night when he suddenly pivoted to one of the day’s biggest stories.

Like she says herself " I shouldn't be up here, I should be back in school"......well what is he waiting for. I, and probably millions of others around the world, will not miss her for a second.

A 16 year old girl with an opinion sure does trigger a lot of grumpy old blokes...

Ever spent any time around female teenagers? Within seconds you're trying to remember what's the maximum sentence for murder. Insufferable. And yes I got one at home.

With full recognition to saving the planet, am really getting enough of this publicity hungry teen brat who should be in school and nowhere else.

I think you're out of luck. She's a superstar by now.

Firstly didn't they say that the hole in the Ozone had closed, Earth is part and parcels of nature. Certain things die off and others evolve. The earth changes all the time, we become wiser and we change what we do and how we do it. Nature decides when we become over burdened, it kills some off, be it by famine, eruptions or war. Nature is what we are part of. Some call it divine, magic etc. But, nature heals it self, like any living thing, it just really bigger than all. We just happen to be one of its greatest successes and also are able to grow with it, and change as we also evolve. As for this young lady , who it is so oblivious is being used to open doors for certain money makers, cult or religious group (who knows) being able to fly across the world, PR into town on a yacht, stay in the top hotels, Mother Therese she is not. And who arranged the children around the world to do their thing? Not her!

Why?

In the Netherlands environmental organisations won lawsuits against the government not doing its duties with regards to environment.

When she is filing suit it becomes a matter of and for adults.

What is wrong about being angry about an issue you feel is affecting you adversely? Please define a "proper" way.

How do you know she is a figurehead? A couple of Asperger traits are searing honesty, and no interest in manipulating people. Has it occurred to you she is speaking for herself?

No, there are many search engines on the internet for making lists.

Nothing is wrong about being angry. But currently it isn't even affecting her adversely. According to other posters here it is actually affecting her positively, they said that she gets the chance to travel the world is positive for her. It might affect her adversely in the future, but this isn't guaranteed.

The anger which we can see in the video looks like somebody had just killed her parents, not like something which could maybe have a negative effect on her in many years. This kind of angry is not normal, bundled with other mental problems which were explained by other posters before, doesn't make a happy life, and she should probably be treated by a professional.

If she would not be a figurehead she would not have talked on this conference. It's quite obvious that she isn't there because of her extensive knowledge of our climate or because she is the leader of a nation.

I never said that she isn't honest or tries to manipulate people, i believe that she believes everything she says. What i said is that there are people who pushed her in the direction which they considered right, who stoke her fears, and that she didn't come up with everything by herself.

For example when she says "they stole my childhood". The only persons who might have stolen her childhood are her parents, how should anybody else have stolen her childhood?

Or the other sentence "they stole my dreams". Which dreams did they steal? With or without people driving cars, she can achieve the same dreams.

Especially when we consider that people with aspergers are usually honest and don't want to manipulate, then we have to wonder why she would choose such nonsensical and purely manipulative sentences. Probably other persons instructed her (maybe not directly) to use these sentences.

You will believe what you want to believe. A 16 yo is not capable of independent thought or speech, according to you. Perhaps Mozart, who was composing music from age 5, would disagree.

I never said this, you should work on your comprehension skills.

If you don't have any arguments you don't need to make up nonsense. Do you really think Mozart did everything by himself? He never had anybody who recommended him to play instruments and taught him how to do so? 555

Oh yes of course they can show interest, but in the courts it becomes matter handled by lawyers, specialists and politicians. Its way, way out of her league.

Following your reasoning no layman can go to court.

As you obviously can't keep track of what you are saying or implying, I won't waste my time with you any further.

Putting my comprehension skills down is another boring ad hominem attack. I do wish people would read

"Straight and Crooked Thinking " by R H Thouless to understand the dishonesty of that form of argument.

Goodbye.

I am not that familiar with that, but assume you have to be adult or at least represented by an adult.

I have to give the VegLibs credit. They really know howto pick heroes that appeal only to their rabid base. I can't imagine anybody sitting on the fence listens to this deranged girl more than a minute with out laughing.

Every now and then a dreamer pops up thinking they can change the world by talking big, very very few have succeeded, many fail to realise that 'saving the world' it's not as easily done with talking and waving banners, and most of the times, it's not even up to the people that are in power, it's an evolutions of things in time and space and theses things can't be hurried up, they will happen when the right time will come...

I can't believe that any American picked a hero that only appeals to his own base. I can assure you that no one listens to his deranged lies without rolling on the floor laughing.

At first i thought your misinterpretation of my post by you was because you didn't spend enough time to comprehend it, but now it looks like you did it on purpose.

I'm really sorry if i hurt your feelings when i pointed out that you tried to twist my sentence and implied that i said something which i actually didn't say.
