Naw dude, we are in the majority here in the US. Folks that dont want some ginned up supposed existential crisis that has been based on a fraud to destroy the worlds economic system, our lifestyles and deprive the poor of the modern lifestyle they deserve in pursuit of anti freedom political power.

Not working too well is it? Percentage of US citizens living below the poverty line 1.2%

UK 0.2%, Germany 0.0% Sweden 0.5%

US is one of the most poverty stricken nations in the Western World. And the least concerned about climate change.

Some normally reliable commentators like Theodore Dalrymple and Paul Joseph Watson have been tearing Greta apart, but on this issue they are idiots. The only thing wrong with Greta is that she is not angry enough.

There is only one solution to the world's problems: Ban private cars. All of them, outright, now. The whining will be audible from outer space, but so what? The result will be that all non-essential journeys are cut out. Public transport will be greatly enhanced. People will work from home rather than making insane daily commutes. Bikes or horses will be used instead for short journeys and excursions. Quality of life will actually increase.

You can have too much of a good thing. I don't have a car. You don't need one either.

You won't comply? Very well. The cliff is that way. Carry on marching.

i think we have an honest climate change warrior here,

this is where the itch is, y'all should just become a medieval peasant.

end industrialization and prosperity NOW,

or as the khmer rouge used to say:

be like the buffalo, dont think, just drag that plow

Another person with zero understanding of the laws of thermodynamics. Or the use of spellcheckers.

Carbon dioxide is toxic to coral. Too much of it in the oceans, and entire food chains are disrupted due to acidity

Unbridled capitalism is not doing the world any favours either.

And you are a person of a simplistic mind who is ready willing and able to believe any leftist dogma thrown your way.  Natural Occurence is a far more plausible answer to Climate Change than a fabricated set of faux evidence.

One combination or another of the Solar / Oribital cyclic events of the natural world that I posted about better describes the underlying cause of Climate Change than making CO2 into a bogey man and relying on shaky (if not outright fraudlent) worldwide temperature readings, fake data, off the charts emotionally driven claims of disaster and other fanciful tales.

The great variability of heat produced by the Sun caused by long scale solar cycles (as I described) cast upon the Earth is at the root of of global warming / cooling and climate changes.  Human activity has had a nearly nil effect.

It is notable that climate zealots near totally ignore the staggering evidence of prehistoric global cooling / warming and climate change.  Could that have something to do with the Fact that there were scant few humans to blame it on?Oh I know it was the farts from the Megafauna that did it - Right?

Oh mercy - another Leftist who when faced with an argument he cannot overcome starts pointing to the Spell Checker making references to thermodynamics of which he knows little to nothing... Oh why didn't you just call me a 'Racist'? Another tactic of Leftist Losers.

Big business wants another Y2K. All change to electric cars, solar, wind etc..Yada,yada,yada. Up till now energy has been in the hands of the oil companies and electricity generation companies.

Grubby business hands want to be on the energy gravy train and that means decentralization.

Yes huge urban population have air quality issues but lets just call it what it is instead of dragging saving the world into the equation.

Man wants to be in control of his environment and doesn't like admitting he has no real control over cosmic science, the weather etc.. Lutheran guilt also has a part to play.

I would of course rehearse a speech. I would lay on fake emotional outbursts throughout.

What struck me about her speech was how Hitler-esque it was. There aren't many orators that get that riled up and shout at the crowd that way.

MLK for instance was a great speaker that came across as totally genuine.  Go back at all the great speakers (not great people necessarily) and very few come across in this way - except that one notable German psycopath.

Jesus, man...get a grip!

Hitler-esque?

Seriously?

Oh and I sure remember all the great speeches by 16 -year old Dr. King!

Simply brilliant the young man!

The same could be said for the man who was responsible for murdering a few of my relatives.

Adolf Hitler had ideas, ideals, convictions and motivations.

He was wrong.

And on we go with the Hitler- comparisons!

my gawd, dont ridicule yerself, PLEASE, PLEASE,

youre also ridiculing the nobel prize

And how is that?

We already are seeing migration, away from countries and regions, that don't offer enough opportunities to the people living there!

What do you think will happen, when the last well dries up, due to even longer and more devastating droughts?

The people from those regions will not just sit there and wait for death!

The right is already screaming bloody murder about the "waves of immigrants", coming into Europe or the US!

What do you think the future holds in that regard?

Don’t know, don’t care.  But you know I’m right.  A large group of Thais protesting their own government would have signs written in Thai, not English.  But of course, rather than raise an eyebrow at it, you throw a snide comment my way.

Oh...right!

Because it wasn't an INTERNATIONAL thing, ALL signs in Germany were exclusively in German, all in Italy exclusively in Italian and all in Nairobi...you get my point?!

TVF's Trump supporters and overall right- wingers: Greta is cringeworthy! She should go back to school and leave this to the adults and the scientists!

Also TVF's Trump supporters and overall right- wingers: Oh, what do scientistst know! They only push a leftist agenda!

Brilliant!

No, I don’t get your point.  More “all caps” and exclamation points, mixed in with just the right dose of passive aggressive would help however.

Interesting - and she did indeed tweet that

But I think this is more indicative of her not writing these tweets. This sort of denial is the stock in trade for political writers. This is not a 16 year old's apology...

Okay....veeeeeery slowly now!

It was a global event in many countries, televised globally!

I would have been way more surprised not to read any English- language signs, then the other way around!

But then again: I am not wearing a hat, made from aluminum- foil...

Stop exploiting that child.

Bring her back to school away from the cameras.

I think you and a lot of other TV members have to go to school to learn about the climate (change).

She is educated more than all who bear a grudge against her - for whatever reason. To repeat things parrot-fashion - as learnt from LOTUS Trump - doesn't solve the problem, but says a lot about the IQ.

BTW, I trust the scientists "a little bit more" than climate changing deniers.

Wow. Simplistic, zealot, Leftist. Loser. I'm wondering how many ad hominem arguments you can combine in a post.

Could it possibly be you are a denier zealot?

In one way, you are correct. We are seeing a natural occurrence. It's nature reacting to what the human race is doing. Deforestation and burning of the Amazon. Larsen Ice Shelf melting faster than any time in recorded history. Extinction of vulnerable species. Coral dieback on the Great Barrier Reef at levels not seen before.

I'll try to bring thermodynamics down to a level you can comprehend. Put simply, the human race has been digging up fossil fuels and burning them at unprecedented rates since the Industrial Revolution. So heat and carbon dioxide are being pumped out. The Second Law of Thermodynamics states heat cannot of its own accord pass from a colder to a hotter body. The oceans are colder, so they absorb the heat produced. And carbon dioxide, which brings in another issue of acidification and coral death. But I digress.

Warmer oceans have two effects. One is the melting of icecaps. The other is the intensification of hurricanes/typhoons/cyclones. That's what is happening as I try to explain these simple facts to you.

Why do you think insurance companies are recalibrating their risk assessments for seaboard communities, banks are refusing to loan to coal mine developments, and militaries are assessing their bases for vulnerability worldwide? Are they all Leftist zealots too?
