Go to any large building supply store...go to septic tank area...ask folks there...they should be able to give you a couple of names and numbers...

Tried that at Homepro and local building supply but they claimed to have no names or numbers. But I think you are right and IO just need to try different building supply stores.

Thanks.

Sometimes you have to help them think outside their normal routine...ask for manager and find out what contractor purchases septic tanks and supplies on a regular basis...

Most common response to every question is:  "no have"...that way they are not required to perform any form of work...555  ????

I don't think there are contractors that specialise on septic tanks. When building a new house the builder installs the septic tank system  as part of the package deal. So I would call a few local builders and ask if they would do it.

Our builder TC House Khon Kaen did our system when they build our house and they did a reasonable good job,

Of Course past performance does not guarantee future results.

Give some of your local builders a call, if they are too busy to do it ,perhaps they can give you a lead.

And ofcourse wait until after the rainy season to  have the job done..

After they bury the septic tank , make sure they put some water in it. if they don't and it rains overnight, the tank will pop up like a cork, and brake any connecting pipes. also make sure they use flexible connecting couplings (see black couplings in picture) to compensate for any movement. Vent tank as high as possible ( to the roof if possible) to mitigate smell.

Good luck ,let as know how it worked out.

Thanks for the tips especially about the flexible couplings and waiting until the rain stops. I have enough info and now just need to get out and start talking to people.

Thanks to all that answered.

I suggest you also pick up a copy of the written instructions" in Thai and English with photos of how to properly install a septic tank in Thailand. Every Safe tank septic tank dealer or DOS septic tank dealer I have visited in Buriram has similar instruction sheets.  An experienced builder who has references for where he has previously installed septic tanks is worthwhile to consider. Great advise above regarding waiting after the rainy season and to promptly fill halfway with water. Not all septic tanks are made to the same specs and the lids can really vary in design and quality in my observations in Buriram.
