It's odd that anyone would "fail to realise" something that is printed on their driving licence as clearly as their name and address.

Is it LEGAL to drive in Thailand using a UK driving licence?

I thought that only an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home country is legal, or a Thai driving licence,

Important consideration regarding insurance.

You can drive up to 90 days on home license, R.A.C "advises" to have an IDP to back it up in LOS...

If you hire or buy a car, one should clarify with the insurance co. that using your home license is OK.
