A man who has been called "Fatty Hot Head" in the Thai media has been charged with four offences and released after causing trouble at Bangkok's main airport.

Named as "Posawat" the rotund gentleman was caught on video abusing security staff and causing damage to a security vehicle at a restricted parking area at Suvarnabhumi.

He had driven his Toyota Camry into the area without getting a ticket which led to a confrontation and argument.

He was seen on a video ranting and bashing the hood of a vehicle. He also kicked out at wing mirrors.

Daily News said he appeared to be intoxicated.

After a one hour stand off his father came and whisked him away promising he would take his son to the airport police later.

Sources suggested "Fatty" was not a military man or policeman but high up in the advertising world.

Later Daily News reported that his father had taken him to the airport police.

After a two hour grilling he was released after being charged with trespassing, criminal damage, assault and affray.

He admitted everything, said the media.

I always thought "loosing face" is a real no-go in Thailand. Now this guy lost his face. Does he feel bad now? I don´t think so.

Tased and zip-tied. Face in the asphalt. Straight to a holding cell.

At a major international airport - federal charges.

Daddy would be coughing up serious money to lawyers.

Tempting and I think he should have been restrained pretty quickly.  But two or three cops could have restrained him without resorting to Tasing.  He wasn't armed or in fact particularly dangerous.  Just a sad, fat, drunk.

Daddy takes care for his spoiled little fatty.

Much gone wrong in upbringing (as so often with the little fatty boys).

and it is not just rich Thais.

Look at some of the pupils in most International Schools.

He lost face by being challenged, which initiated his rant. As happens so often here, they then lose more face by being exposed as a moron. In extreme cases, someone loses face so they kill the person who made then lose face and then lose more face by being put in jail for 10 years. But they are unable to foresee what the consequences of their rant/murder might be. It would never even occur to them that there might be one. Thais have very little self-control, and when the red mist comes down it obscures everything else.

Agree, the police quietly surround him, video his actions, when fatty has blown his steam, he realises that he cannot run away.

Things are done without unnecessary violence, without unnecessary lost of cool and sweat.

Well done i say :coffee1:
