I'm looking for website recommendations having classifieds with people able and interested in transferring their existing Thailand Elite Visas. I want to consider this option in addition to buying new ones directly from Thailand Elite. I've seen a few ads selling visas which appear to have better terms, longer durations and ease of transfer then the current offerings... which makes me interested in this option. I also realize one has to be careful to avoid grifters and scams. I have seen a few available on the website https://bahtsold.com wondering if there are other resources? I am looking for TE visas for me and my wife. Interested in anything from 5 - 20 years or even more if available.

Be aware that the lifetime options, while being transferable which is great, only allow 90 days on each visit. Thus, if using it to live in Thailand, it requires a lot of border runs.

Further, I think Thailand Elite has to agree the transfer. If immigration object, the transfer will not go through. Do not part with any money until sure what you are getting. This could be a good use case for escrow.

I have the Lifetime Thai Elite Visa (purchased in the early days).

As I understand Membership can be transferred, but only for 20 years, and including a 10% fee to Thai Elite + whatever the agreed price is.

Brit Tim is 'nearly' correct with his comment - The Original Thai Elite Membership comes with a 5 Year S.E. Visa (renewable every 5 years for life), however, 90days is granted each entry after which a 90 day extension must be applied for (at 1900 baht). Theoretically one would never have to leave Thailand again, however, it would cost 1900 baht every 90 days to extend another 90 days which could wear thin.

Original Members were offered the option to transfer to the 'other P.E. Visa' but had to also transfer to the 20 year membership (instead of lifetime).

I suspect any transfer of the original membership which includes the 5 year S.E. Visa would automatically involve a switch to the 1 year  P.E. Visa which only requires 90 day reports and can be renewed yearly, again, without having to leave the country.

I would suspect that any private sale being offered could be a scam. Only ever go through Thai Elite, even if transferring an existing membership across.

Hmm, that would certainly negate some of the benefits the original has over the new one. Thanks for the reply.
