I just received a new Alldocube iPlay 8 Pro to replace my old model Alldocube. I have been trying to transfer books and audiobooks from my PC using a USB cable, which was a very simple process on my old tablet, but when I try to do it now it just won't work. I can see the name of the tablet listed on my PC but it won't open when I click on it. I must be doing something wrong, but what? The message I get when I try to transfer files is "device has either stopped responding or been disconnected".

Guessing here but are you giving the tablet permission to connect to the computer? Make sure the tablet is unlocked, connect the USB cable and look at the tablet screen for a permission box.

As said, just guessing; my Galaxy tab does this.

Well, it's unlocked in as much as I can open it, just not on my PC.

I have seen this message when too many files are being selected at one time to be transferred. Or multiple transfers are attempted at the same time.

Try to limit the amount of files per transfer and only use one transfer instance at a time (wait for the transfer to complete before attempting another) and let us know the outcome.

What O/S is the PC running ?    when you first plug in the new tablet  did a message appear on the PC saying found new hardware and installing drivers ?
