Question about family law re parental rights when marrying after the child is born
I researched this a bit further and it does seem that law recognizes marriage by the parents after birth date as the same as being married when the child is born. Section 1547 addresses this. So that is the new thing I learned today - there are 4 ways, not 3 ways of being registered as the father of a child under Thai law: 1. Being married to the mother of the child at the time of the birth of the child 2. Marrying the mother of the child at a later date (unspecified timeline and you will need to prove you are the biological father) 3, Court legitimized via legal process 4, Mutual agreement registration at the local Amphur after the the child is 7-8 years old (exact age of child not specified) -

Thank God the burning has stopped......
Only joking. Long diatribe from the Head of the Village this am......all burning must cease. The authorities will be using radar (?), drones and satellites to identify anyone burning sugarcane leaves, they will be fined and their land will be confiscated. The photo below shows the sugarcane being burned......at the back of his house!!! -

Revenue Department boss calls on tax residents in Thailand to file 2024 returns by March 31
No. Not me. I am not self enforcing anything. I am not rushing to get a TIN and I detest the commercial and otherwise pushers saying we all need them. I know I don't need a TIN yet based on my personal situation. If how I read the IRA policy is correct I will need one during a later year. By then I presume that rule will be much better clarified and I do predict expat retirees are that have accessable income are going to be more or less forced into the system. But don't accuse me of pushing it. I hate it but we don't always get what we want. -

Online TM6 form for visitors to Thailand coming on May 1
That won't happen (so they say) The ETA is meant to replace the TM6. This online TM6 nonsense is cover up for the delayed ETA.
