Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has suggested that Thailand organise a music festival featuring the world’s leading musicians in order to woo music-loving tourists to the Kingdom.

He added that he had pondered on this matter for a long time.

The premier made the remark after a meeting with the Board of Trade of Thailand on Thursday (November 14) on the issue of promoting tourism.

Who would dare come? Everyone that has ever visited Thailand could at least in theory be put on a plane home.

But I'd love to hear his recommendations for a lineup.

They can barely handle the problems with the monthly Koh Phanghan parties and they've been doing that 35 years.

Loong Too himself will do an Elvis cover "Return to Sender"

Huh? Is this another name for Prime Minister?

Maybe all the good artists won't show due to the politics of the country.

Many farang are cutting down on domestic trips due to tm30. I'm one.

(I get lot's of) Satisfaction

Would be opportune to wait until Mary Jane comes fully online, he could then promote a Woodstock style music festival - that might ensure record participation.

I contacted Prayut with the idea to call it Woo-stock. He thought it was great, made such a change from Laughing-stock.

Somehow I don't think Glastonbury needs to worry about the competition. That said he could headline with his catchy ditty.

I'd forgotten about him ....which was no bad thing. Always have a crappy support band then the main act always looks better.

Who would be over the moon to endorse a military government responsible for terminating democracy.

Sad to think that he and people like him believe they are the good guys.

Still , history is full of such miscreants.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, We're The Overstayers and we'd like to do "Take it to the Limit"

Ringo will HAVE to sing "Yellow (Chinese) Submarine"

I would also expect a cover of the Beatles "Baby you can crash my car"

At least if it does happen and he goes in person, he will finally face the music.

Pink Floyd singing "Money" would go down well with most Thais.
