Asian airlines slash flights to Hong Kong as unrest escalates

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Several Asian airlines have cut flights to Hong Kong for the coming weeks, an industry scheduling publication showed, as anti-government protests in the city grow increasingly violent and disrupt daily life.

Guideline on charges of tourist guide service approved

The board of Tourism Business and Guides has approved the guideline on minimum guide service charges for three types of tourists - outbound tourists, inbound tourists and domestic tourists, said Thaweesak Wanitcharoen, director general of Department of Tourism today (November 19).

Chulalongkorn University named first AMR reference centre in Asia Pacific region

The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) has officially designated the Faculty of Veterinary Science of Thailand's Chulalongkorn University as a reference centre for antimicrobial resistance (AMR), its regional office for Asia and the Pacific announced today (November 19).

Slow growth not reflective of Thai economic potential, says BOT official

Chaiwat ordered transferred from Ubon Ratchathani to Pattani province

MP Ms. Pareena not qualified to rent land in Ratchaburi province

Palang Pracharat MP for Ratchaburi province, Ms. Pareena Kraikupt, will have to cede to the state the 102 hectares of land in Chom Bung district of Ratchaburi, which she has occupied and utilized for several years, because part of the land is in national forest reserves and the rest is classified as Sor Por Kor or land under the land reform program.

Bangkok ranks 12th on list of cities with the worst air

The Air Visual application reported on Tuesday (November 19) that Bangkok’s air pollution level according to the US AQI standard stood at 136, with PM 2.5 level at 57.8 micrograms per cubic metre (µg/m3), making it the 12th on the list of cities with the worst air in the world.
