Nong Nooch Tropical Garden & Cultural Village, the largest floral garden in Southeast Asia located near Pattaya, will open with free admission for people in five provinces and five districts of Bangkok in December.

The five Bangkok districts are Taling Chan, Thawi Watthana, Phasi Charoen, Bang Khae and Nong Kham, while the five provinces are Phetchaburi, Ratchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Kanchanaburi and Chumphon. People residing in these areas need to produce only an ID card for unlimited free admission throughout the month of December.

Director Kampol Tansajja said the free admission campaign has been launched to “create happiness for Thais” and in response to the government’s policy to boost domestic tourism in order to stimulate local economies.

A free picture of you and the tiger on a 1 metre chain.

Foreigners, you will still be paying the 'special' price, and if brought by a local, we offer them a commission, that the foreigner of course pays!

All seems rather arbitrary.

But, but, I have a Pink Card Can I still get the Thai price?

Went a couple of times many years ago when the price was the same for everyone, now don't bother because of "special pricing".

A few years ago, on the King's birthday (Fathers Day), there was a special price for fathers. Went with my kids, but still charged me the Full Monty.

More plastic animals than real ones now. Occasionally take visitors but the place is less likeable.
