curious about the lao visa on arrival application

do the lao immigration officials keep the visa on arrival paper applications on file or in a computer system ? 

 

or do they just keep track of your dates of entry ?

 

how about for lao tourist visa extensions ?   do they keep those paper applications on file ?

In Myanmar they are on par with above. All government checkpoints they hand write using a pencil into a big book; but dont plan on capturing as a photo ; all photography is banned at these places.

Last My I arrived by plane at Rangoon airport and the Immigration officer scanned the code on my eVisa print , stamped my passport and gave me back the eVisa print .

 

 Seem to me he used only is computer to record me. It was quite fast.
