Are they reading this and my thread? No response so far.

The only response is post #18 above, deleting comments that broke forum rules. But also see post #19, which says the problem has been reported to the technical team.

I've started a thread about that a while back but zero been done about it.

Obviously we, the posters, are of little importance to the people responsible for that atrocity.

The VDO ad was an impediment to my experience of TV. All other ads gave me no problems. After repeated requests by a number of posters, to the web team, nothing was done. Someone posted, in another related thread, a specific set of instructions (quickly deleted) to remove the VDO ad. I followed the instructions and hey presto! no VDO ad. The downside, for TV, is that I now see no ads whatsoever, no banners, clean sidebar, bliss.

I understand the need for TV to run ads and accept that without the ads TV would probably fold and had no intention to remove them. It's entirely the fault of the TV web team that I no longer veiw ads on TV, due to them being unable/unwilling to sort out one simple problem and forcing me to take the matter into my own hands.

Well done web team. Personally, I wouldn't pay you in brass washers.

Yep, explained that in my post. I run Firefox. Another poster posted a fix, which worked a treat.

I'm not really inconvenienced by not seeing ads. 555

I've installed an ad blocker, and it blocks up to 20 - 20!!! - ads when I open just one page on ThaiVisa. A bit of overkill, methinks.

Unfortunately Barry it would appear as if no one in charge took a blind bit of notice of my e mail, and while I'm typing this the poxy thing has appeared twice already, PLEASE SOMEONE, ANYONE, SORT THIS GARBAGE OUT.

I now use a large screen laptop, and firefox. Excellent performance now. TVF needs to inform new posters to not use small screens or any windows browser, IMO.

I'm not going to do anything about the ads as I can ignore them on a large screen. On my tablet I couldn't even read the text on the right hand side.

I notice that something is happening tomorrow, so perhaps we might be seeing something different on Saturday.
