"Sauce" of annoyance! Neighbors patch up differences after Nam Pla poured over parked car

A Thai woman called Wiphawan, 26, was furious after a male neighbor poured fish sauce all over her Toyota Altis car parked in a housing estate in Sri Racha, Chonburi. 

 

Nam Pla is a very popular ingredient in Thai food but its salty smell tends to linger - especially when spilled, notes Thaivisa. 

 

In this case it wasn't spilled but deliberately poured over the Altis - the neighbor was cross that his parking space outside his property was being taken.

 

Deputy station chief Pol Lt-Col Krerksin Buracharoen called the warring parties in and the unnamed male neighbor promised to pay compensation in full.

Wiphawan said fair enough, and hoped this would end his shenanigans. She thanked the police for their prompt mediation in the matter.

 

Pol Lt-Col Krerksin agreed that arguments over parking spaces could be a sauce of annoyance.

 

He urged the public to settle their parking troubles amicably - if they can't do that they should go to the juristic person's office for guidance.

More efficient thing to do is 20 ml syringe of prawn juice injected into the door seal rubber, never find the “sauce” of the stink, nor get rid of it, permeates entire car

A pristine example of selfishness and egoism. Had such a "neighbour" blocked my drive-in all the time. Took 15 pictures and then got the police to organize a tow truck; B 4'000 later he understood - finally!

Surely the police have more important things to deal with than a neighbourhood spat.  Perhaps enforcing rules and laws on the streets, highways and byways of the nation should take precedence.

In my youth, Australian made cars rusted so easily that people would coat the inside of the doors with fish oil. The owner of a car for sale would proudly declare that it had been fish oiled.
