Thai media reported on a 64 year old man who would put others half his age to shame.

Sawaeng Kaewmuang has been earning his living climbing coconut trees since he was just 12.

He charges 50 baht a time to retrieve the coconuts for people in Ang Thong province in central Thailand.

Thaivisa notes that some people in this business send monkeys up to do the work - Sawaeng shins up himself.

He admits to having fallen six times over the years.

But he has had no serious injuries - apart from some broken teeth.

Wiry little Sawaeng is a popular and well known man in Chaiyo district, reported 77kaoded.

The 7th time could be the charm, not that i wish him to...

Wife's family's farm in Prachuap use trained monkeys to do this work.

75 year old in our village - but he does use bamboo ladders!

Good going.

Monkeys typically do it though nowadays. One of our neighbours borrowed one of these monkeys and let it lose in our banana fields. Almost had to put a bullet in it. No place for a ????

He learnt to cut-out the middle man.

One way to make a monkey out of yourself.
