Could the reason for the regular transfer of governors be to avoid corruption?

I know ambassadors are transferred every four years for this reason.

Well ... they are only allowed a short time at the trough. Plenty others waiting to pay for their time at the trough. All about high bidder and then good payer.

Vice Governor

An enviable position - does it cover all vices?  Gambling, pornography, and prostitution are the big three of vice crimes.   Traditional examples of vice include drinking alcohol, smoking tobacco, and gambling in card games.  (And I now understand it includes darts!)

Or maybe to share the corruption opportunities around... Phuket is a rich pickings area.

I've never heard of governors avoid corruption.

Move along the trough please, there is a queue waiting for their turn.

That's about right – – "you have reached your agreed amount", now move along for the next snout to take up their position in the trough. Next please.........
