wishful thinking, the bad news? he's there for the next 4-5 years, maybe more as he will not step away without a fight, he will never loose any election, change the constitution to fit his needs and he will be calling himself PM for life

or, hopefully, it might go like this. ????

Article 44 can beeinstated overnight  if he so wishes & nobody has any power to stop him.

Not good but the reality

I think you might be wrong about nobody having any power to stop him I'm sure there are many if they so choose ever heard the term "back stabbing".Keep your enemies close and your friends closer.

It has already started.

it is not Thanathon. Thanathorn is just another problem.

Complications adding extra spices to Thai politics! We can but sit back and enjoy the flavours.

And who would replace him exactly at the moment if by some wonder he happened to be resigning? Headless chaos.

The real problem of these self made Dear Leaders - if they are not stopped in time -that by nature they never look beyond their own rule. As they systematically take out their opposition and make their tentacles dig into many levels of the state administration they make their flawed governing more desirable than the chaotic outlook of the alternatives in case of their ouster.

Even a random taxi driver could be more qualified than him to drive the country

so it doesn't really matter

That's why it is so effective. And it is never the matter of competence.

He should resign. Prayuth is perhaps the least competent PM since Sundaravej. At least he had a cooking show.

Wonder if he is looking at what just happened in Pakistan?
