LG Smart TV, mirror from Android

Featured Replies

Anyone know how to mirror from Android phone to LG TV?
Can't get it to work, would like to watch YouTube on the TV, but all efforts to get this to work have not succeeded.

The TV asks me to go to ScreenShare on the phone but this does not exist on my Android phone.

When I go to mirror in youtube I can select the LG TV, but then nothing happens.

Thanks

Depending on your phone, it may not be labelled 'screen share'. Samsung phones for instance, you need to enable 'Smart view'. If you have a smart tv, just put the Youtube app directly on the TV.

is it chromecast equipped?

if not it likely isnt very smart at all.

and have you installed the screenshare app on your phone? it very likely isnt there if you havent.

When in doubt read the instructions that came with the TV, that will tell you if it has Chromcast installed

If it is, then you will see the Chromecast logo on the You Tube screen on you phone

What screenshare app?

This is a Huwaei Android phone but there is nothing pre-installed, and I am not sure what to download.

I cannot find any way to mirror from the phone to the TV, it is the latest LG Smart TV, so should be well equipped.

Many thanks
