Roojai Insurance/Online Insurance

Featured Replies

Who here has experience with this online insurance? I would like to hear from people that had accidents and had to claim through them?

Cheers!

What do you want to know? I have them and within the first six months had a claim. Called their number from the accident scene and an agent was there in 20 minutes. Took all of my details and of the other party. Within a few days I could take it to the dealer for repairs. Easy with no hassle, pay the extra to take to a shop of your choosing. Any questions?

Roojai is just an insurance broker, when you sign up through them you actually make the policy with another company. If you claim anything Roojai just forwards this claim to the respective company.

i chose for them for the 35% premium vs the dealers insurance, 2nd year

Haven't had an accident yet, but in this forum there are some good experiences mentioned, just search

The policy which Roojai sent me is issued by LMG Insurance.

Is your policy issued by Roojai directly?

An insurance company insures you. You have an accident, you talk to Roojai, any ploblem, you talk to Roojai..

And then Roojai will forward the claim to the insurance company which issued the policy, as pointed out before.

In case of a claim the money doesn't come from Roojai. They work with different insurance companies, so if getting a payout in case of a claim is easy or difficult will depend on the company which issued the policy, and is only slightly related to Roojai.

Thank you all for the comments!

We usually don’t interfere with the forums, but we thought it could be useful to clarify the discussion between Transam and Jackdd.

Both of you are actually right.

Yes, Roojai.com is a broker and as such, we are distributing policies of Insurance companies which are not Roojai.com policies. However, we have a peculiar model which is slightly different from the typical broker. We are only selling policies from Krunghthai Panich for car insurance, and LMG for motorbike insurance. Because these are exclusive partnerships, we have agreed specific terms with both our partners. As a consequence the product (and price) you buy on Roojai.com cannot be found anywhere else. It does not mean it is always cheaper, but it is always different.

Regarding the claims handling, you are both right again. The ultimate decision for the claim decision and payment lies with the insurance companies. However, we have also agreed that they will delegate to us a certain number of activities such as helping the insured at the time of accident, explaining the process, interacting with the garages to ensure the repairs are as quick as possible, and others.

During your claim experience you will never have to interact with the insurance company. We will do that for you using our technology systems and processes. Overall, your claim experience with a policy purchased on Roojai.com will be different from a claim handled directly from the insurance company through another broker.

Of course, we believe that's for the best and work hard to make it a positive differentiation point. We hope this helps clarifying!

Happy new year to all of you!
