:oYou speak true, Phil.

I especially like it when then add several exclamation points to try to underscore the importance of the thoughts that they are unable to articulate in writing:

!!!!!!Do you get my drift?!!!!!!!

YES MATRON MAAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edited so as not to p1ss off NR who doesn't like folk stretching the page.

He sleeps on a rug of Tiger Fur, showers from my trunk, and dusts his cardboard box with CB's tailfeathers. He has a collection of stones and other rubble to give the deity Gorgon, should she ever appear, however, there is a myth that the stones are actually bits of concrete that has crumbled from a nearby bypass.

Now I feel enlightened! Thank you.

Lets not forget separate welcome threads for everyone who shows up in Bedlam. :o

Stop Shouting!

STOP SHOUTING!

Sorry, I wanted to say it nice and quietly!

Lets not forget separate welcome threads for everyone who shows up in Bedlam. :o

you're just jealous that no one wrote one for you! :D

Signatures in a lanhuage that I cannot understand

이것은 아무것을 의미하지 않는다

One Kan when one has two may Kans of bear :o

Have another beer please.

Beer in a Kan, Wins

A few other incorrect cliches that crop up in ThaiVisa and elsewhere:

Thais never, ever go to the beach.

Any friendly Thai who comes up and speaks to you in the street or another public place is trying to scam you or rip you off.

In all farrang / Thai couples the Thai is from Isaan.

Closing a thread just because it meanders/veers/turns off topic is a TV cliche

I thought a Bedlam thread meandering off topic was a mandatory requirement. :o

A lot of the time the off topic postings are more interesting than the original purpose.

And the result of criticism/discussion of moderation should be a well known TV cliche for all Bedlam members too.

Watch it.

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

I thought you said you were in a good mood? Only back one day and it starts.

I'm in a good mood - day one back in Samui. Weather's great, just had a beer, going to Ting Tong Corner later. Ah, bliss.

Oh yeah, managed to check out Bedlam!

Well I finally heard it, I always considered it a TV Cliche that was never actually said, or worse, actually believed by the speaker.

But I finally heard it,

' I don't know why they make it so hard for us to stay here, We are the Life Blood of the Economy, if we leave the Economy will collapse'.

Anybody else actually heard this?

With boring repetition at most pubs/bars around Chiang Mai where the guys propping up the bar have decided over the years they are a major economic force in Thailand. They probably are for a number of bars, girls :o , guest houses and overpriced house rental agents.
