PHUKET: Phuket Vice Governor Supoj Rotreuang Na Nongkhai this morning reported that Phuket has so far suffered no deaths since the “Seven Days of Danger” annual road-safety campaign for the New Year began at midnight Thursday night (Dec 27).

Referring to the official report compiled by the Phuket Provincial office of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM-Phuket), Vice Governor Supoj explained that during the first day of the campaign – from midnight to midnight, Dec 27 – Phuket suffered just seven people injured in seven accidents: five in Muang District and two in Thalang District.

Of note, to be reported as “injured” during the Seven Days campaign, road-accident victims must be taken to hospital for treatment. People injured in accidents who are not transported to hospital from the accident scene are not included in the statistics for the period.

You are one sick bar steward, there are 365 deadly days here, not just 7.

So just to keep your figures looking good, you are now splittings hairs about the poor mans time of death.

Sick thats what it is, sick, if 1 of your family would you be such an a++e about time of death.

It's 7 days, not 7 days one year and 7.3 days the next year or 7. whatever in subsequent years, it's not hard to understand really, the guys only trying to report accurately!

43 killed on first of 7 dangerous days

Why are you getting your knickers in such a knot over how a non-entity deputy governor in a far away province tries to twist numbers to exclude one fatality from a slogan based campaign that has little impact on the carnage?

It doesn't cause, nor effect, the death toll which mounts up no matter how many mouth off.   Try looking at the big picture.

Pathetic excuse designed to make Phuket look like a safe haven.  If there were people injured, there were people ****in injured!  Full stop!

They should count it.  Its and improvement over an average day.  World Health Org stats;  Daily traffic death toll in Thailand? " That's an average of 62 deaths every day, according to the WHO's 2018 report on global road safety -- just slightly fewer than the average deaths over the New Year period of 66 per day. "

Simpel thinking in the name of a dead just to make a statistic accurate and look better.????????

this is only dead at scene right, not injured and died in hospital

so expect much more

Oh pleeeeeeze

Don't take the bait and bite, all you do is lower yourself to his level..
