Admin rights

Featured Replies

I'm trying to run some commands but get an error message when running some of them saying I need Admin rights but as far as I can see I'm already logged in as Admin.

What have I gotten wrong?

You need to run the command prompt window with admin privileges.

But the prompt says C:\Users\ADMIN>. Doesn't this mean I'm already logged in as admin? And if not how do I go about doing that?

I'm afraid not.  You are just in the ADMIN folder in command prompt window.  You need to run the command prompt window in admin mode.  Right click on the app icon to get the option as in the image above.

Yah, see a lot of cmd scripts unless you type "cmd.exe." Doing a bit of development, are we? But a man of your stature would have ConEmu64.exe, with Clink, pinned and config'd to run as Admin anyway. ????
