The tracks – made by a turtle estimated to have a shell about 50cm wide and about 155cm long – led to a nest that contained only two leatherback turtle eggs. Both eggs were spoiled and would not have produced hatchlings, the said the turtle patrol officers. Photo: DMCR

PHUKET: Officers from the Khao Lampi – Hat Thai Mueang National Park are to file a criminal complaint to police after a leatherback turtle nest was found raided on the beach north of Thai Mueang, north of Phuket, this morning (Jan 4).

A “turtle patrol” along the beach by officers from the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) found tracks in the sand at Na Yak Beach in Moo 4, Tambon Lamkaen, Thai Muang District, soon after sunrise.

The site of the nest was about 11km north of the Khao Lampi – Hat Thai Mueang National Park main office, the officers reported.

Chinese aphrodisiac? They seem to have a lot of problems downstairs, given the stuff they gobble in hopes of getting it up. Or they are growing them for pets for smuggling.

They just eat the eggs , they do not care about endangered species , they eat , they drink , some bum bum maybe , if somebody lets them ... , that's all ... not need to use a brain , it's just the basics of life ...

After the egg snatchers had visited during the night !!!

The tracks were made by the turtle. No tracks made by humans?
