This morning it was this:

He had to be ferried by specialised seaplane because his damaged lungs could not cope with high altitude travel.

This afternoon it was a boat.

Do Thais know the difference between the two modes of transport?

Seaplane and boat are he same thing..... its just a matter of speed ????

Below take-off speed the seaplane is just a funny shaped boat

A seaplane is a powered fixed-wing aircraft capable of taking off and landing on water. Seaplanes that can also take off and land on airfields are in a subclass called amphibious aircraft.

I've been in one of those. They slam down pretty hard. Wouldn't want to be in anything but perfect health.

At 70 and having spent the 1st 20 years of my life in NZ, followed by a couple of Parisian winters, then the rest of my life in Melbin & Canbella, I don't think I've ever had the flu in my life.

Is that normal?

I was watching a documentary series on global pandemics on Netflix, they mention guys like you in the first episode. You might be one of the lucky few who are immune to all forms of the flu.

Not so serious ?   Wuhans just closed the shop down......Wuhan, a Chinese city of eleven million people, is to temporarily shut public transport as it tries to halt the outbreak of a new strain of virus.

Nothing to worry about Thailand...........

A little less to worry about.

The corks out of the bottle, it's just a matter of how much has been spilled.

As of last night 479 positive infections in Wuhan, so only a small sample detected so far from, as you quite rightly say, 11m people. Watch how high the numbers climb now the city is sealed off.

I'm still waiting for them to announce exactly which variant of flu this guy has....also - has he made much of a recovery yet?

Having announced the man does not have the new Wuhan strain of coronavirus the Thai media will put him on the back burner...
