My biggest annoyance with Thais cooking for partners is they seem to have absolutely no idea of co-ordination cooking times for sitting down together. My food is usually on the plate , served, eaten and dish washed before her Thai lunch is even half way cooked

It's social. Thais love squatting around food, and can eat for hours. They nibble. And talk like Communist politicians.

After one such session going from 6 pm to 9 pm at my GF's house, I was a bit gobsmacked when they fronted up for breakfast at 8 am, including whisky. That was a bit shorter, an hour and a half.

Pgrahmm funny things for breakfast !!

Last night i made pigs in blankets, and apple crumble for dinner.

After we were both full, there was 2 pigs in blankets left, and some apple crumble.

Wife is sitting at the table this morning, eating apple crumble and ice cream, now in my mind thats weird.

I remember many a Boxing Day morning, after the night before, when a big dish of my Mum's trifle was all I could stomach.

No servants in my house, we all cook our own.

Pizza with mushroom, bell pepper and chilli toppings cooking now.

The misses is eating a cold boiled potato she found somewhere.

Yeah - I get the pizza dough duty....But the 4 of us cook.....Over the years our girls have learned western & Thai prep.....They're quicker Thai style though.....My wife cooks both well.....Sometimes it's just 2+2=5.....

Anyone get any weird mixes of food along the way?

Dunno really my wife takes care of me very much, too much at times.

Breakfast when I get up before her, I take her brekkie when she rings me and  she likes strong coffee with choc cookies.

as my wife explained to me when I moved here many years ago now, you eat what you like for breakfast, have to admit I dont mind it at times. Looking forward to my daughter and grandson coming over this year so we can take them to all the different shops we go to for breakfast, I know she will be blown away by what we can have here, might start something back home when she returns

think about it : how crazy is it that in some countries you *cannot* have what you like breakfast? pure insanity.
