3 wheel honda scoopy/wave trike conversion

Featured Replies

Has anyone converted there own honda wave/scoopy etc to a 3 wheel trike.

My wife's sister has trouble walking and can't ride her Honda scoopy very well and looked at converting it.

Told it will be about 30-40 k

Maybe cheaper to buy a used one second hand and sell her scoopy!

She doesn't want those 29k electric ones at Big c .

If anyone knows of a cheap one for sale let me know .

Something similar to the picture would be perfect.

Do they look after the change in registration?

I believe it is very difficult to change the type?

Ie. Can register a bike with sidecar new but cannot retrofit old.

But I've been wrong before.

I think there could be difficulties but as its only to be used in the village to the local morning market i doubt there would be any problems

Got some guy who looks like he welded up a dune buggy style frame and 4 wheels and stuck a honda wave motor flying about .

In which case there are 50cc 2T 3 wheeler scooters like the Honda Gyro here as I have seen them. From where I do not know.

No rego required under 50 cc.

If you already have the parent scooter you plan works

Thanks but thats even more expensive 48k just for the kit trying to find one already converted or a cheaper conversion she nearly had a stroke when she found out it would be 30k-40k

The reason why George charge so much is because he does a full rebuilt , including bearings and all the rest. Many locals mechanics will do it for half the price , problem is bike is not balanced , pulls either way and many more problems .

go see George in person , ask him if he can do cheaper price or has used one for sale, he is a really easy going guy , I am certain he will help somehow .

One of these rode past me in Pakret yesterday.

They are like training wheels on a child's bike.  Looked OK.
