Pluak Daeng Police Station in Rayong province was notified on Tuesday (March 3) of a motorcycle accident in the district that later led to the discovery of the corpse of a man reported missing for a month.

Napapha Boon-asa (29) told police that she and her friend Piyanut  Piyanut Kiawsaku ( 32), the driver, lost their way on a dark road while travelling to the opening ceremony of new local market. She then turned to GPS to locate the destination as she was not familiar with the route.

However, the bike overturned while getting round a curve, throwing both to the ground.

Piyanut was unconscious after the accident while Napapha was frantically trying to get help.

She walked for five metres and found a motorcycle parked by the roadside. Thinking that there be someone nearby, she started searching but stumbled on the corpse of a man that was turned to the bones.

She ran off in fear and finally met a passerby who called the police.

The dead man was identified as Noi Khaengkhan ( 43), who had disappeared for a month. His wife, Sureepond Sae-Ngow (48), was informed of the incident and travelled to Pluak Daeng Hospital to see the body. She later said she thought he was just leaving her.

Piyanut reportedly passed away in the hospital due to the severe injury on her brain.

The deceased mans motorcycle was on the side of the road for a month?

Nice search by the locals for a missing man.

Ah....so it was the bikes fault not hers. Glad that's been cleared up.

Also, this English news report in incorrect. I watched this news on Television yesterday and the missing mans bike was not parked on the edge of the road. It was also off the road hidden in the undergrowth a couple of meters from his body.

...Meanwhile the country panics after a few people die of a flu strain ???

C'Carlos, you nailed it for a number of Countries. Covid-19 is a concern, but is being blown way out of proportion. (Mind you, I've cancelled travel plans for March & April and will minimize my trips to Villa, Big C, etc.)

(Oops, off topic)

It is the passenger who appears to state that she turned on GPS on her phone.

Like you state, it appears that it was the passenger !! Trouble is, it's a daily pastime here, looking at the phone while riding.. So in all likelihood, it was the driver and hence she crashes ????

So if the facts don't fit, just make your own up.

There are no facts in the OP, apart from she was riding and crashed. Then they found a corpse...

I'm just presuming, going on the National pastime of sh it driving :)

It's there, it's a fact - the passenger states that she was looking at the GPS whilst the other person was driving. As I posted earlier, doesn't fit with what you want to believe so you make stuff up to fit your post
