if an old farang killed himself.

If he killed himself by being a selfish, impatient liability, then I'm sure not many would have much sympathy...

This guy was someone's son, possibly husband or partner and may have had children.

This guy had the potential to also kill someones son, husband, partner or children...

That should be directed to the Government and all people involved in the education of the next generation...

Agree. 3 out 4 pages of comments from the usual bigots who would be RIP-ING all over the show and demanding others to be respectful if an old farang killed himself. But it was a Thai person, so it's game on to see who can come up with the lamest comment.

This guy was someone's son, possibly husband or partner and may have had children.

Hang your heads in shame.

The guy on the bike should have thought of all that stuff chum......Or is it Reverend....????

That's because Phuket has a high percentage of foreign visitors and residents. Actually, there are probably more foreigners living in Phuket than Thais (most of the workforce is Burmese, for example).

Elsewhere in Thailand, it's the impatience, poor driver training and complete selfishness of Thais, coupled with inadequate policing that results in all these accidents. Thailand has amongst the highest road accident rate in the world. The vast majority of victims are Thais and most are motorcyclists. Many Thais don't know how to drive on mountainous roads. Others don't know what to do at unmanned crossings. The list goes on.

Bet he was one hell of a car salesman though.

Considering he was only able to afford a motorcycle, I don't think he made the "cut".

Yinn, in this instance you maybe need to ask a different question. One example may be:

"How many westerners / tourists will ignore the safety barriers at train crossings and ride or drive across train tracks when trains are clearly near?"

Yinn, many foolish tourists hire scooters in Thailand and crash. It happens. But I have now driven or ridden about 100,000km on Thai roads and nothing about the stupidity that I see every time shocks me any more. Thai people in general just become self absorbed and selfish when they get into a car or on a bike.

They forget to check mirrors if they even have mirrors, Daily I see people turn onto road from sois without even checking traffic. I see idiot drivers speeding on the wrong side of the road to overtake when other cars are coming. I see people overtake and jump in front of other vehicles with no space to spare sometimes just centimeters.

When will Thai people finally get sick of their own family and friends killing themselves and other senselessly? When will Thai people finally say "enough. We must start to realise that vehicles are dangerous and kill when they are not driven properly?"

Or Yinn, are you okay with the amount of people dying or left with horrendous injuries from Thai roads every day?
