A landlord in Pattaya has appealed for help from the media after he bought 100,000 face masks for distribution in China in February.

Is that supposed to mean that he bought the masks in China or was going to distribute the masks in China ?

He bought them in Thailand to send to China so his Chinese boss could make a fortune his altruistic Chines boss could give them to the needy. :coffee1:

Isn't it illegal to export masks out of Thailand these days? There's a huge shortage.

It's ok, nobody respects the law!

There were so many people on the one of the Bangkok Facebook buy and sell groups who were trying to gouge people on face masks.

Except when it is against a foreigner, then suddenly they know the law exactly and sure will maintain it.

He is a perfect example; of why many a Big grocery outlet have put up signs:

"No Change Of Mind Return Policy"

they think they are going to make a big load of bucks/baht, and then find no way of flipping the sheers quantities upon an increasing suspicous/cautious market

same going for dunny paper, paper towel, face tissues, femeine hygiene, hand sanitising products etc etc

one gets the same good feelings, when read of ticket scalpers being caught outside the front gate of a big game...

don't know what is worst. A hospital selling masks despite shortage of masks in Thailand or that guy trying to tell the world he did it only to help the poor Chineses people, out of interest.
