Just so you know, Y2K was not a calamity only because companies and organizations committed millions of dollars and thousands of IT man hours to prevent it.

Rubbish. It was a scam.

Because it 3 out of 5 people get it (Germany’s prediction) or 4 out of 5 get it (UK’s prediction) the outlook is far greater.

These numbers are a joke, look at China, they have the numbers under control now. South Korea numbers are slowing down too.

And hopefully so the numbers everywhere else will slow down as the governments implement adequate measures.

China took extreme measures and could do so because of the manner in which its government functions.

Imagine a city in the UK, France or US etc being put on lock down 6 weeks ago... (rioting is my guess).

The Westernised governments have had to play it more slowly and keep the media and public onside.

The predictions may well be valid, but hopefully the potential is reduced through action.

Hand washing, hand washing, hand washing... learn how to do it right... You think you know, but DO YOU??  Learn proper hand washing.

If you live by yourself, or even with your wife, and neither of you leaves the premises -- why wash your hands, assuming nobody else has been in those premises----? Washing your hands is only to kill the virus -- but if nobody else has been around to spread that virus, why wash?
