Well the Jomtien sea walk is still pretty.  Outdoor restaurants probably will still serve food.  There will be plenty of ladies out of work and one might get a pretty good discount for a one or two week live in "care giver".  For a quiet get away, Pattaya might not be that bad.  Any pool halls open?

you're right .  like in any situation, those who can adapt and get creative will thrive.

those who will stay at home, isolated,  will survive .

gk will survive, and thrive.... i would think

I was talking to a lady who runs a restaurant in Isaan. They're not allowed to serve food anymore. Only to go.

And I'm certain that that will soon be in Pattaya as well.

A fine of 100,000 baht should make sure that people follow. But...

I would say as the last tourists leave, a restaurant restriction will be put in place.

This thread is irrelevant since there will be a curfew from tomorrow 7pm. So there won't be anything to do from March 26 and 30 days coming.

The gym I go to assures me they will definitely reopen on April 1st

that must be wishful thinking.

They are not in a position to say that.

Read my post again.

I said, "a restaurant restriction will be put in place."

That means, restaurants to close the same as bars and nightclubs.  Nothing to do with the 7pm curfew.

Are the vendors at the street food market on South Pattaya Road still there? A lot of their business is Thai, so wondering if they are still working; along with the pad thai and khao man gai night vendors on the opposite side of the road?

In BKK now, but debating if a move to Pattaya may be better. Sukhumvit area of BKK is so dead- all of my normal street food vendors are gone. Contemplating how much worse it'll get when the next level of restrictions arrive (ie: curfew)...

Looks like a ghost town now why bother.Wait until it is safe & enjoyable again. I dread having to go into town 24 kilos from where I live to shop now.

I get my beer and booze delivered and watch netflix amongst others.  Social distancing has be normal with the missus for past 8 years, not change for me.

Yes, online ordering and home delivery are good for social distancing. You have to just make sure you do not become a shut-in or recluse.
