This is completely correct. They care little for the support of British passport holders in Thailand. There are almost no services that you can get from them compared to other nationalities here. A disgrace.

As you say I would never think about contacting them

In my days of working for them, I like to think that we made some effort to help our citizens abroad. These days we have no consular facilities, even though we like to pretend that we still do.
