Leave it connected to the car and run the car engine for 30 mins?

It's a bike with a much smaller battery.

Some posters here were wrong. If you ride it for a few hours, the battery will be full again.

How else would the battery be charged? Small batteries like yours don't like a high Amperage to charge it.

Disconnect minus, use a 3 Amp charger and charge it for 10 hours. and all will be fine again.

Try riding around on it for a hour?

A cars battery won't charge unless the engine hits 3000 rpm, so maybe ticking over isn't enough?

So much misinformation on this thread.

A car's battery will even charge at idle speed. Guess why thew y invented the rectifier/regulator.

At idle speed, you won't get as much power from the alternator, but your statement is so wrong that it hurts.

At idle speed, the battery is still charging even on my big bike.

Any battery likes being charged by a plug in home charger, different from the built in alternator, this tool moves stuff off the plates to make it happy again, as well as taking the voltage/amps where it needs to be.

This is the 21st century you know?

Connect bike to car jump leads again but leave the car running for 20mins.

Sorted.

OK So DON'T start the car.

Just for the next person with a similar problem who doesn't have a charger but does have some booster cables.
