I think a lot of folks will be buying new printers when this is all over. Mine went tits-up two days after the lock-down. I've ordered a printer maintenance kit from Ebay for the next time. I know how to fix the problem, but I don't have the required tools.

Just buy a new one.

I bought an Epson last month just because I saw a stack of them outside this shop.

Less than 4000 baht.

as said. Buy a new one, they are so inexpensive, when they sell you one they really want to make their money from selling you ink cartridges.  Buying a new one that might be more ink efficient might even save you money in the long run.

I just had a new printer delivered that I bought off of e-bay, its a HP LaserJet Pro M402n.  It's a color laser jet with ethernet. Was 11,000 baht, and it came with a toner cartridge replacement.

I didn't think anyone still used printers that required ink cartridges. My last two printers both had bulk tanks; one was an aftermarket installation, and the other was factory-built inside the case. Ink costs next to nothing.

I have an old Canon that does, didn't even know there were ones with bulk tanks. which makes my point. When that one brakes , I will look into one of those rather than fixing my olde daynasaur.

Horses for courses as the saying goes, depends largely on type and frequency of use etc. I had "tank" style and ended up dumping it. I prefer the Hp cartridge printer, fits my use and workload nicely.

You should be able to get a printer store (once they open) to adapt your current printer for use with bulk tanks.
