School children on Koh Lanta in Krabi came up with the solution for their online learning when a relative's TV went on the blink.

They used two sided tape to stick a mobile phone on the wall so they wouldn't miss out on extra lessons via the DLTV channel.

Their teacher was so impressed with their commitment that they decided to give the group some extra tuition time at the house in the Likee area.

Many children have turned to online learning because Thai schools that should have opened already are still closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Most schools will not reopen for face to face lessons until July 1st.

Thai kids should explain to their parents why they have to learn. Unfortunately.

What's unfortunate is that the Thai education ministry and government personnel think that every home in the country is equipped with the same level of technology and gadgets as their own.

The divide is enormous.

I think through June schools should be given the option to resume teaching if the local governor feels it's safe to do so.

Waiting for July 1st to start en-mass is plainly hurting some children.

Pff just 1 old monitor with a raspberry Pi and they can be set... Frustrates me to see things like this.
