More revelations in the UK press this morning.

Having just watched sky's 2330hrs recording of today's press preview I find myself agreeing with the views expressed by guest panellist Matthew Sayad.

why are you trying to convince me that what he did is/was correct, why are you trying to defend an indefensible act, wrong is wrong move on to something more positive

Shutting the fire doors to keep the rhubarb brigade at bay differs significantly from declaring tactile support.

Since when has sacking-by-media been the norm & how did it not apply when Abbacus bailed her son out etc?

Since about at least when Thatcher resigned in whenever that was. Anyway the topic and story is about Dom Diane has thankfully dissapeared without trace. The Baker article apart from being badly written shows how much of a grudge he harbours for not getting a seat at the table and he has just absolutely savaged DC on Sophy Ridge on Sky.

As very few people saw it and you didn't elaborate on Sayad's views, it explains nothing.

how many people did he had contact with and potentially infected in his driving journey... shame on you cummings, if you have any balls just resign to show that you follow your own covid social distancing recommendations, leaders are supposed to be an example (I know I am asking to much from you and your gang of geeks)

I cannot tell you how much I don't give a <deleted> about Dominic Cummings but you are asking him to resign ? REALLY ? Is that what this world has come to?. The blokes a pratt for sure and deserves public shaming but come on, lets get a little perspective here.

Yes

Dominic Cummings was involved in designing the guidelines and rules

At no point publicly has he objected to them.

The guidelines was widely interpreted that the isolation period meant staying at your current location and prohibited travelling to another property.

It now appears that Dominic wishes to re interpret the guidelines to appease his actions.

The 'very few' know where to look & also know why a link could not be included in #151.

As I said in another topic: will those who were vociferous in their condemnation of Sturgeon's support for Dr Catherine Calderwood be equally vociferous here?

As most of them are prominent government and Brexit supporters, somehow I doubt it!

Somewhat different circumstances. Dr. Calderwood admitted she made TWO non justified trips to her second home. Two, and neither of which was for a justifiable reason; she just felt like it.

According to the Reuters report and BBC, Cummings had a justifiable reason, wasn't ill at the time and took sensible precautions where he went to ensure his young baby could be looked after.

Noticeably the left wing media like The Guardian who are so outraged, are completely ignoring the trip made by Stephen Kinnock MP to see is millionaire parents, the retired former career politicians and leading socialists. How sporting of them!

I comments against Brexit at the time of the referendum. Attacked the May regime and her very undemocratic aspirations and have criticizes BJ and his lackluster cabinet for their inept performances. I also have attacked the treacherous Corbyn, his former hypocritical lover and their Marxist would-be chancellor. I also attacked Cummings for his non democratic aloof comments in the past.

However, the attacks on Cummings, in this case, are very clearly politically motivated and show a high degree of media hypocrisy when noting the lack of outage at the Kinnocks.

However, should the Reuters and BBC accounts prove to be false then he should resign. But Kinnock who has seemingly know justifiable reason, should too.

You're clutching at straws if you're comparing 30+ years ago to the much more recent example I offered in comparison to this current farcical situation. On a lighter note I quite like Baker (& Ridge) and will take a look...

Interesting live story line about all around the terrible one.....as more leading Conservatives asking also for his resignation....

https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2020/may/24/uk-coronavirus-live-dominic-cummings-under-intense-pressure-over-lockdown-breaches#comments

He is certainly a controversial character. And I would imagine many in the Conservative Party, cabinet, and parliament don't like him and his apparent hold over the PM.

But, like him or not, trying to force a resignation in the court of public opinion, by hypocritical left wing rags, is nonsense.

Interesting isn't it. The same left press choose to ignore Stephen Kinnock MP breaking the law to visit his millionaire champagne socialist parents!

And they see no wrong in Starmer, who as DPP instructed the police not to pursue Pakistani and Bangladeshi sexual abuse gangs - in the interests of racial harmony. Or Naz Shah, who was selected for parliamentary candidate rather oddly, has been suspended for anti semetism, has continued making anti semetic remarks, and was caught openly supporting a Twitter post that said white victims of sexual abuse, young teenage girls, should shut there mouths in the interests of racial harmony! Presumably, those media sources see these people as fine upstanding and government material!

Methinks Boris is sitting on Starmer's performance as DPP for a later date ????

if truth be known, almost certainly Dominic Cummings' rules.

Indeed. He seems to exert the same influence over Boris that May's advisors, a man and woman, held over her. Only she sacked them after the disaster of her needless election which was her ruination.

Cummings appears much more secure.

Not sure we really know enough about all his agenda and views given his position of unaccountable power.
