DL on phone

Featured Replies

I had the app on my phone when it came out. Now it's disappeared.

My IOS app still works, but it would be difficult to use it if you were stopped and the police asked for your license.

The app is all in Thai and the login process requires entering your passport number and your email address twice. You then wait until you get the OTP (one time password) by email, enter it, and only then is the drivers license displayed.

I could see it as being quite helpful if it used Face ID, but as it currently exists, it's best to carry your license with you.

In all the years I have been stopped at police checkpoints here in Thailand, not once have they asked for my driver license, not one single time, ever.

I have the iOS app and only had to set it up once. If I want to show the licence I just open the app. Sometimes it ask for my password, never passport and email again.

That's very different from my experience. I moved here in 1993 and didn't bother getting a license until years later but now I wouldn't drive without one. I live in Pattaya and get stopped and asked for my license (at least I did before Covid-19) on (a rough) average about every 10th day. When driving my car outside of the city it also happens occasionally.

No app can disappear without you un-installing it manually.

Sorry, no it has not disappeared...it just doesn't work anymore.

I have version 1.0 2019 Donald. What's all that about please?

What's the name of the app in Playstore? If I put DLT QR, something developed by Donald KStrump comes up. Fake?

Same, and i have done a lot of long distance driving in TH . Never once have they asked for my licence at any checkpoints.

HI I just updated to the latest version 2 weeks ago and entering my passport number it all worked fine.

Yes, it is all in Thai but I just scanned the text on each menu option with my iPhone Google translator (camera option) and was pleasantly surprised it was simple to follow and all done in a few minutes and I now have my e license on my phone.
