A video showed the moment when three men - apparently employees of a bus company - got out of a tour bus that had stopped completely blocking the Khon Kaen bypass yesterday afternoon.

The bus whose Bangkok license plate was clearly visible had the sticker "Sawatdee Isaan" (welcome to the north east) on the back.

The Thai media caught up with the person who filmed and posted the incident that went viral on Thai social media.

He said he was on his way to Udon with a friend and had seen the bus driving very erratically before three employees got out to remonstrate with the man behind the wheel of the red plate pick-up who was with his wife.

One of the men repeatedly punched the driver in the face after he wound down his window.

The poster said they spoke to the man behind the wheel of the pick-up after the bus fled the scene.

He was shaken up but didn't want to press charges and feared trouble if he did. He claimed to not know what he had done wrong.

I agree the people at the bus Terminal should also be fined for letting the driver and bus thugs leave the Terminal leave without wearing masks. The thugs should all be sacked too.

In a perfect world it may be the case but knowing Thailand, these guys will probably get a promotion for sticking up for their bus company.

Amazing TRUSTED Thailand - that is one inter-provincial bus company to avoid!!

Shocking behaviour these men are supposed to be professionals,  the man throwing the punches is in the wrong job and should be made to find a new one, after he comes out of the Hilton, if his employer condones this heaven help Thailand in the future.

Don't beat yourself up driving, let us do it.

We beat the competition, and anyone else who upsets us.
