I m just not sure becuase my last refusal letter.they just count only 1 bank account.(we submit 2 accounts)previous we got £55,000. (did not reached the requirment anyway) first bank has £50000 and other got £5000 but in refusal later did mention we only got £50000.i notice why they not took another account that got to combine.so just wonder.there is the rules

Or something .that we have missing or dont understand.please advise if somebody got experience or know about it  thank  you

There is nothing in the rules to suggest that the savings must be in one account, just that the savings must be in an account that has been in a compliant account, under the control of the sponsor, your wife, for in excess of six months.

It would seem that the previous application was refused because the requirements weren’t met.

I'm confused by this poster - You say you have/had £55000 in a bank/banks and got refused - rightly due to not reaching the £62k, but unless your wife is not working, I cannot see why the difference would not have been made up in her salary, since you can combine income AND savings. Is the wife NOT working ?

.We all in thailand at moments.she got job here.and we will moving to uk together.so she still not apply any jobs in uk yet.and we dont want make up jobs.£55000 is previous application which  i did submitted last years and been refused .as our fault that we did not check it well

this time we got enough money in the bank to reach financial requirement more than  £62500 which i will submit again soon .i just wonder about the 2 bank accounts can them to be  combine

You can have as many accounts as you want. They can be in the UK, Thailand or anywhere. They can be in your name or your wife's name. As long as they meet the requirements in Appendix FM - SE you can use them ( post #5 above).

It's very possible that you could have met the threshold of 62,500 GBP by other additional means, and sometimes asking for assistance before the event, rather than after, can be very useful.

So, she has no job in the UK ? You think she'll get one ? There's more unemployed now than previously so good luck with that one.

I'll have to assume that she owns a house as if your putting 62500 in a bank account (or more) that money is going go pretty quick with no income and rent to be paid if not.

My worry would be having to show the same amount again in 2 years if you/she continue to have no income and renting and savings now not what you had previously you might find yourself heading back to thailand - as I understand it

What a strange post.  He is looking for advice on a visa not financial advise on whether him and his wife can support themselves. If she has £62.5k in the bank (Up at least £7.5k from last year) then seems to me she probably has her head screwed on

Thank you for advised and concern.i think my wife will get her job soon when we will be in uk as she willing to.she is a fully qualified teacher with her master degree in special need educations.and i willing  try get the jobs that relate to my career aswell (im qualified architect in thailand)may be  not an architect yet in early time. becuase it might involve with the license.but  i will see what job i can get

about 2  saving accounts that i did mention before .she got those saving £55000 in the bank.those money is her saving since 10 years until recentry that we decide to go back and settle in uk. those accounts are not new accounts only for this purpose .

about £7000 that missing from last year sumitted.she put into her  bank about 7 months ago.those £7600 was a bonus from the school she work .as we will provide the  letters from her school to declare where  those money came from.now as the 2 bank  accounts combine. the saving already reach £62500 and i hope it will be ok .thank you
