Sometimes just letting one's thoughts flow can be a lot more interesting  than the

description of one who chooses to use said method at times.

We all have our particular posting techniques.   I try to use more than one.............

as it is less boring for me    lol     bottoms up ,  sapparot !

Freethought (or free thought)[1] is an epistemological viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed only on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, a freethinker is "a person who forms their own ideas and opinions rather than accepting those of other people, especially in religious teaching." In some contemporary thought in particular, freethought is strongly tied with rejection of traditional social or religious belief systems.[1][2] The cognitive application of freethought is known as "freethinking", and practitioners of freethought are known as "freethinkers".[1] Modern freethinkers consider freethought as a natural freedom from all negative and illusive thoughts acquired from the society.[3]

My father was the same, never showed an ounce of affection to his kids, never asked how you were doing, just criticised you for things he did himself. Wasn't shy about giving you a slap around the ears either. Yet, strangely, I still sought his approval.

Had my issues with my father aswell. Later when i was older, i could bond more with him.

I know he went down on divorce, giving him really the reason to hit the bottle.

Also the past played a roll. He never knew his father (died) and a second one also died soon.

So no role model to show and even then how were they affected in life?

He was young when there was war and had to provide food anyway he could.

I cant blame him, it were all those circumstances which made him.

Personal experiences which shapes you and you ll have to live with.

When you listen to people, once they come of their shell, you will find similar situations.

I ve heard quite some stories from male and female. And me too, have also my story.

There are moments, but then as Taylor Swift sings "shake it off"

Raised by a stern french Father that had a hard time showing affection....

He was raised in a first generation home where the wife had not a lot of right to speak & the children had less = don't speak until spoken to.....

Over the years my Mom's love won him over, it wasn't until his 70's that I heard the word love come out of him....

Different world & set of rules back then....Even old pictures show few smiles back in the day....

I was reading Thomas Paine and he had some very prescient words that seem written for today: These are times that try men's souls. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered. Sux. ????
