Big improvement, at least now we can see only half of his face.

  • Well him, and 60 million others.    No tears or angst here.   No tears or angst here.     You seem a bit emotional about trump's reversal on wearing masks. Perha

No clue what these "facts" have to do with trump finally semi-donning a mask?

And we're lucky if we're in the third inning of this virus so maybe keep a lid on attributing deaths to political parties.

It is intensely insensitive and immoral to politicize the deaths of Americans.

Seems so right a trumper would go there though.

The comment has been made by a number of people here that Trump is responsible for all deaths.

Add in the other Democratic states and you'll have an incredibly high percentage of deaths at the hands of bungling Democrats.

If it's facts you want then you will like the following............

Back in January, when US intelligence agencies first started to warn Donald Trump about the threat the virus posed, his instinct was to brush it off.

Trump did not want to spook the financial markets. Even after China finally acknowledged there was significant human-to-human transmission of the virus, he consistently downplayed the danger.

On January 22, CNBC asked the President whether he was worried about the virus becoming a pandemic.

"No, not at all," he said.

"We have it totally under control. It's one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It's going to be just fine."

At the start of February, having been convinced by his staff to announce restrictions on travel from China, Trump said the problem had been dealt with. On February 2, he told Fox News host Sean Hannity partial travel ban had "pretty much shut it down".

On February 14, he suggested the virus would simply go away as the United States headed into its summer months.

"There's a theory that, in April, when it gets warm – historically, that has been able to kill the virus," said Trump.

By February 26, there were 60 confirmed cases in the United States, and that number was rising steadily. "We're going down, not up. We're going very substantially down, not up," Trump claimed, contradicting his own administration's health officials.

In the annals of the American presidency, it would be hard to recall a more catastrophically wrong prediction.

"As they get better, we take them off the list, so that we're going to be, pretty soon, at only five people. And we could be at just one or two people over the next short period of time."

He also compared the coronavirus to influenza.

Trump repeatedly downplayed the virus and dismissed fears about its potential spread in the United States as media "hysteria".

He did this until mid-March, when he finally started to take the pandemic seriously – and abruptly switched to claiming he had known how bad it was all along.

"I've always known this is a, this is a real, this is a pandemic," he said on March 16.

"I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic.

"I've always viewed it as serious."

That simply was not true. As other world leaders did their best to prepare for the crisis, Trump pretended there was nothing to worry about.

The spread of the virus (and the fact that trump merely dismissed it as a flu) and the deaths of thousands of Americans are as a result of trumps lies and bungling.

Now those are facts.

There is not one post here stating 45 is responsible for all deaths. He is undeniably responsible for some that could have been prevented had he not turned mask wearing into a political debate. Just one example where he chided a news reporter for wearing a mask, saying the reporter was just being politically correct for not removing it.

The virus was already in the US and spreading by December at the latest. It was always going to be too late. Trump is advised by top virologists and THEY told him a lockdown was not necessary. You should be vilifying them, not Trump.

He did not kill any of them, if you remember, he was very strong on

the ways to avoid catching it.

Millions of people said BS and quickly disregard the warning.

His wearing or not wearing didn't kill anyone , unless they are

idiots.

The BLM crews are behind the thousands with it now,

but TV will never go there, easier to blame one man.

CNN has never once even hinted the marches and riots

 could have spread the virus,.

They were doing GOD's work , not spreading disease.

Please  support your claim in respect to the  BLM behind the "thousands of cases".

My understanding is that on the contrary , because of the manner in which many of the BLM rallies were held (outdoors with most wearing masks), the impact was  limited. Also, the average and median age  of participants at BLM is young. This is in contrast to Trump political rallies which have featured older people and most not wearing a mask. The Tulsa rally has apparently resulted in 500 infections plus a number of Trumps campaign team infected.

Trump politicized the wearing of masks. he didn't need to do that. Every one of his medical/science members of the  task force advocated the wearing of a mask. Even  Pence finally started wearing one. Only Trump refused to show leadership on the issue.

Are you implying he is above the rules of safety and health restrictions at a hospital? He had a choice NOT to comply?

The number isn't important. Even one death due to inept, bungling Covid-19 mismanagement from 45 is too many.

Wrong........trump has consistently shown that he listens to nobody, very often contradicting Fauci et al.

I'm sure his "top virologists" didn't suggest injecting disinfectant or having an internal UV light treatment??

You are trying to defend the indefensible, because the facts are well known, but you cannot seem to see or understand them.........and you seem to have overlooked the fact that trump said there were only 60 cases in the US in February and those numbers were falling, but according to you the virus was "spreading" by late December.

And you may recall this............."We have it totally under control.

How sad it must be to be a supporter, believing that scientists, scholars, teachers, economists, & journalists have devoted their entire lives to deceiving you, while a reality TV star with decades of fraud and documented lying is your only beacon of truth and honesty. Staggers the imagination.

Q: How are you managing to not get fired?

A: Well, that’s pretty interesting because to [Trump’s] credit, even though we disagree on some things, he listens. He goes his own way. He has his own style. But on substantive issues, he does listen to what I say.

So the draft dodger is boosting the morale of the service which he "refused" to enter, and then later on called out John McCain for being captured!
