No, it is not all fine. yes, you believe it works, and you may have lost some weight, but that is short term.

it is an established fact that diets  heavy in meat result in  cancers and heart disease.  Thin people can and do suffer blocked arteries.  GI and colon/rectal cancer are more pronounced in those with a diet heavy in meat.  Use common sense. There isn't one reputable cardiologist or nutritionist who will agree with you and your fad diet. You can lose weight too if you only eat french fries.   What is so difficult to understand about a balanced diet, reduced calorie intake and  exercise?

I dropped from 110 kg to 95 kg over 5 months using a keto diet, was very easy to follow and I still got to eat great food, even ate non keto every so often. Been off it around 7 months and weight is still ok at 97kg

 

Fad diets lol

Simply stuff less calories in your mouth than you burn daily. Thats it !

with all that did you stop drinking alcohol , with the beef is always nice to have some red wine ????

I had actually put on 9kg since March mainly because Gym was shut. I had stopped using the free weight dumbells I have at home some time ago.....Reintroduced them end of June without changing food intake and already dropped just over 5kg.

Again as I said before more calories burnt daily than you stuff in your mouth and you'll lose weight simple as that

It IS easy. Stop eating.

There were no fat people in Belsen.

Once you have realised that truth, then start thinking about what, and how much, you should eat.

I lost 5 kg all i did was got of my <deleted> and done something.

Are you all a bunch of fat old farts that have just not maintained yourselves for decades and now realise you need to do something PRONTO? A meat only diet is a freaking FAD and a silly idea. Generations have not gotten fat by including SOME carbs in their diet. Limited complex carbs help me with my weight training. I tried the all meat diet and I did lose some weight, but I also did not have sufficient energy to do reasonable workouts. I know...I know what you will all say...YOU GET USED TO IT. Sorry, but EFF THAT!! its a VERY SIMPLE formula, energy in vs energy out. A lot of people just dont seem to have the discipline to abide by this. This is why fad diets like carnivore....low fat.....keto come and go...THEY HAVE COME AND GONE FOR DECADES. Limit sugar, limit the simple carbs contained in snack foods, dont drink litres of beer every night, avoid soft drinks and MOVE YOU BUTT......

 

Or just eat only beef for the rest of your sorry life.

Found an interesting video (2016) which did a huge study that shows that there is no single diet that is suitable for humans, i.e. one size doesn't fit all, it went on to say that as humans, we must have a tailored diet that will suit us as individuals as a lot of it has to do with the the different type of gut bacteria we have. It also went onto show that how glucose levels spiked in different types of diets when they weren't supposed to.

 

Check it out if you have a spare 30 minutes, I found it very interesting and educational.

I have worked in farming since the early 60's.

I have been a vegan since the late 70's and a vegetarian before that, my weight held steady at 60kgs for years even whilst working in different countries ( Europe, South America, Middle East ) from the late 1970's.
In the 1990's i started traveling to India, ASPAC and China, then moved and based myself in Thailand.
From late 90's my weight rocketed from 60 to 86kgs, reason overwork, sometimes 48hrs, burnouts, too many hours in the air and at company lunches and dinners.

Solution, change my eating habits ( the amount I ate and the rich foods, I was already zero to low sugar no diabetes ), exercise the body not just the mind.   My weight dropped to 58/60kgs in a few months and has stayed at that.
Eventually I stopped working but had left the changing of my lifestyle too late and suffered a stroke with complications.    

The message is, whatever your diet don't leave your change in food intake until your body hits you with a warning and possibly worse.

This is when you get religious, and all warning signs should come on and be flashing in front of your eyes. Your body needs a variation of different nutritions, and need to be balanced as well. Any diet works if you stick to the plan and stay well below your need of colorie pr day. Any diet as I said, but it doesnt mean it is healthy for a longer period. 

 

Doesnt help if you are vegan, vegetarian, eat only fish, or only beef. We need carbs, fat, fibers, protein, and it doesnt matter how you mix it up in what percentage, it is total calorie intake that matters, but for a short time, no problem. 

 

Be smart and dont get religious about your diet. Educate yourself and try to understand a balanced diet is the best. If you are physical active running more carbs, lifting weights more protein, but fat should stay the same. One calorie is one calorie no matter what! Remember we are talking small differences when it comes to more carbs or more protein. An active weight lifter need 2g protein pr kg body weight, or a long distsnce runner needs 1,7

Im talking about medium to very active athletes. Normal activity you need less than 1,5g pr kg body weight to maintain your muscles

 

The only thing is, try to stay away from food that makes you more  hungry, and that comes often from processed food and fast carbs such as sugar etc.

Whats for breakfast?....beef. Whats for lunch?......beef.......Whats for dinner?.....beef......Yeah, what can possibly be wrong with that plan? 

Since the crisis started in March I lost 8kg, from 86 to 78kg. How? I eat simply less and more importantly, besides a normal breakfast, I only eat once at around 3pm. No dinner. All food allowed. But I also stopped to drink alcohol, despite I never was a heavy drinker. 

I have also cut back my beer intake to historically low levels. These days 4 cans on a Friday night is a BIG night for me. I feel a lot better and obviously the calorie intake via beer has gone down a lot. It also means a diet of beef, beef and more beef is not required.....though I do loves me a bit of beef.....

We also dropped alchohol even no big drinkers either, and I dropped 3 kg in 3 months no other adjustments. 

 

3 years ago I also did cut the carbs for 3 months living on 1750 kalories a day, and lost 16 kg in 3 months. Went a bit up when starting eating normal again, but I feel good at 84 kg and 179 cm. Do quite a bit of lifting, so okay built and 17% fat at the moment, and very comfortable with that. However it takes  a bit if pkanning and structure as dicipline to stay like this, and with the ace it does not come for free, have to work for it.

weight often does not say much, im heavier then you and around the same lenght. Got visible abs lower too.. so fat below 12-13% i guess. Not exactly sure. Muscles weigh a lot so the weight quotes don't really say a lot.

 

I seen skinny fat people too, no muscle in sight.. look skinny but still a belly. Its about fat not weight.. but for those who train its hard to find a good way to estimate fat as fat scales don't work well for muscular guys and skin calipers have a large margin of error. For me its always a measuring tape around the waist to see if im getting fatter or if its muscle. 

 

Food wise for me its always a mix of (healthy) carbs / veggies / fruits /meat and fish and fat. Now that i really cut out sugar results come fast. 

 

Unfortunately still an minor shoulder injury. I hope that it is gone in a few weeks. I really want to be able to do DB or barbell bench and shoulder press. I could do shoulder press without  pain but feel it is not helpful (inflamed tendon). So now mainly other lifting.
