Rakpong Sengcharoen, Director of the National Village and Urban Community Fund Office

The National Village and Urban Community Fund Office has launched a project that enables village fund members in Chiang Mai to trade products among members to increase their income and reduce cost.

Rakpong Sengcharoen, the office director, presided over the project opening ceremony, oversaw the operation, and interacted with several village fund committees on Friday (July 17).

"Today, many village fund members in Chiang Mai came to trade their products," he said.

He said that after the Covid-19 outbreak is resolved, the office will work on grassroots economic development to enable 40 million village members nationwide to trade products and drive the country's economy.

"Many village fund members were satisfied with this project because retailers can sell their products without having to use middlemen, while consumers can buy products at below market price," he said.

He added that the office would continue to work on boosting income, reducing expenses, and creating distribution channels and careers for village fund members in order to improve their quality of life.
