Popular Post CrunchWrapSupreme
4 hours ago, poloshirt said: By the time they reach 25 they already look so old. What do they offer the society in term of profession? Do they contribute any skills in exchange for a day's hard work salary? Oh, where to begin with this. I'm actually glad this sort of post came up, as it provides the opportunity for such things to be properly addressed. Before getting married, I dated ladyboys. Yes, their position in life is difficult, and thus this creates complications and difficulties. Successful long term relationships with them is indeed rare. But the attitudes they have to face, such as some of those seen here, is certainly a contributing factor. Hitting the wall at 25 is absolute rubbish. While not exactly still "passable" at that age, many still remain quite beautiful, in their own way. The ones I dated were near or past 30. One I didn't date, but who became a helpful friend upon my first visits to BKK, is a well known hostess at a Sukhumvit bar. My wife once met her and they soon hit it off, talking for the next 2-3 hours like old friends. My wife also likes them on YouTube, one hosts a popular Issan cooking and fishing channel, the other does make up how-tos. If you're ever in Eastern BKK, there's several in Mega Bangna. One's in the Power Buy small electrics department, another's at a soap kiosk. And there's many in the 7-11s and Watsons around the area. One I met was a Nivea company rep, in the blue and white dresses, a coveted position. I'd say that given their position, they go out of their way to be friendlier and more polite, than most "real" ladies would. Try talking to one of these more professional ladyboys, to help shake your perception of them all being thieves and scammers. As a teacher, I've had ladyboy students as low as Pratom 4 (4th grade). They still have to wear boys' uniforms, have boys' haircuts, and no make up, but the female mannerisms are undeniably present, natural, and not stereotypically flamboyant. I know for a fact their parents aren't terribly present in their lives, given questions I've asked them, and their obviously lacking academic performance, so I know they aren't being "pushed" or "coached" as many like to assume. And by 4th grade, just how much pushing and coaching could've been done? Thus I believe there's a strong case to be made for it being a genetic predisposition. On that note I'd like to conclude, it's tough being a man in a man's world. The expectations are very high. You've gotta be big, rough, tough. So what if you turn out to be on the smaller, slenderer side? What if you've got a softer, more feminine character and disposition? Do you fight that uphill battle, trying to be something that you aren't, and don't feel comfortable being? Or do you take the route that just makes more sense? That is what they do. While more comfortable for them, being who they want to be, it's certainly a rough road with what they have to face in life, for which I strongly commend them. It would certainly take a load off the minds of the people here in thailand. warcy
I often see busloads of Chinese tourists going to ladyboy shows in the past. In China, it's impossible to see ladyboys so they come to Thailand to see them. In western countries, they have drag queens so it's not really unusual. It seems that ladyboys do rely on Chinese tourists then. Edited August 8, 2020 by warcy
