townhouse fence / gate ? how much to replace folding fence ?

hello expats, I usually read here but today need your help before exploring shops.

do you have an idea about the price of a cheap sliding gate for a townhouse ?

I would like to replace the folding gate for a half sliding gate (only half of the gate needs to slide to allow car parking).

Now it's a folding fence as on a photo and I would like a plain (no see through) sliding gate, do you know how much it should cost ? (as I have no idea, better get your opinion first as prices can vary a lot).

thanks in advance.

Buy the way, do you know if it will be heavy to slide (as I want it plain so the dogs cannot see outside and bark) ?

if it is too expensive I can imagine to put metal sheets on mine to hide the view, but I also wonder if it will be too heavy ?

advantage of a sliding gate is that later I could add a system for remote opening ?

all ideas welcome. thanks again.

It's heavy but easy to slide....they are designed on rollers so even a smaller person will have no issue sliding it open/closed. Your best bet is to check out some vendors and get an estimate.

If you want light weight you need stainless steel

Were it me I would move the fence back behind the car and install a man gate. Then you don't have to worry about the dogs getting out, and you don't have to open and close the gate when driving in and out.

You could blank your existing off with light-weight aluminum sheet.
