Police were called to a paddock in the Bo Fai sub-district of Hua Hin last night after a cowman was gunned down in full view of a large crowd.

He had been at an event known as "Wua Laan" where participants parade their cows at night in a rodeo style entertainment.

Dead at the scene was Krissada "Arm" Reuangthap, 30, from Cha-Am, who had brought cows along and was a participant in the show.

He was found face up, dressed in jeans shorts and a t-shirt. He had been shot in the head and back. Evidence of two shots from a 9 mm gun were found by Hua Hin police at the scene.

"Wua Laan" people at the showground came from Hua Hin, Cha-Am, Pranburi and Kuiburi.

Witnesses said the shooter was a man called "Pan" from Kuiburi who shot the victim in the back before fleeing in a pick-up.

There had been no argument before and no one was able to provide a motive for the attack except that the two men may have had some kind of personal grievance.

Police are hunting the assailant.

Thaivisa notes that the murder is the latest in a series of gun related incidents in the Hua Hin and Cha-Am area.

I have been at some of these races and i know there is a lot of gambling going on.

Seems that covid 19 has giving people an even shorter fuse.

Yep... I'd say.

Good to see that yellow police tape 1 metre from the body preserving the crime scene and the inevitable mobile phone videos that will be circulated.  There will be approx. 1000 suspects after they lift footprints from that scene, but probably the burmese in any case! Solved

Edited by me: A cow will probably get the death sentence for this!

There is a need for a death sentence, if someone can just walk up to another person and shoot them dead , for a previous grievance, some deserve the death penalty

The killing fields of LOS sun sea and bullets ???? Rip

My wife has informed me that the poor guy was shot by mistake.

It seems he had the same name as the intended victim.

Its good to see the local women ae on top of all the news that's happening

Life sentence in a Thai prison is harder.
