No hookers approaching you, but still some good eye candy to look at. Very few people in the weekdays, sometimes more staff than customers. I don't live in a little shoe box condo but in a fairly large 2 story house. Hookers at Central. They hang out upstairs near Daiso where the phone charging station is.

Always exceptions Well considering my unkempt appearance it may be an idea to go get a haircut and massage today.... always involves 'tips'.... My Mrs surprised me by countering my impression Chinese were unlikely tippers as she had worked in a Chinese oriented hotel, and said otherwise.

January 31, 20215 yr Author Popular Post Beach Road update...the main change from 6 months ago is that as we enter into Covid Era year two, many of the businesses that were temporarily closed then now appear to be permanently shutdown now; their signage and all evidence of their former existence has been removed from the spaces they formerly occupied. The former location of Starbucks on Beach Road and Soi Yamato has now removed all their signage and interior fixtures. I could be wrong, but I recall this being the first SB in Pattaya and was at this location for about 10-15 years. The former Pizza Hut at Beach Road and Soi Post Office. Again, all the signage and fixtures have been removed. It looks like this is now a permanent closure. Hooter is now closed...6 months down the road will they be open or the signage gone? The Pizza Company at "Royen" Beach Road is closed. The fancy Asian Herb ???? shop and massage now a flop-house for those living rough. One for the memories...Tahitian Queen "The Oldest Bar In Pattaya...Still The Best." Edited January 31, 20215 yr by Pattaya Spotter

One for the memories...Tahitian Queen "The Oldest Bar In Pattaya...Still The Best." Sad to see so many places closed. Yet, there are some glimmers of hope for Pattaya's future here and there. Took my morning walk in the north Pattaya Beach area and saw that A-01 Hotel is working on what they call Phase 2 of their redevelopment of the open space in front of their hotel complex. This time they are completely re-doing the space in front of the second 'ship'. A few doors down from Tiffany's a fairly large Chinese restaurant is getting a big makeover with a new and nice outdoor area with a water feature. More of Sabai Lodge has now been recently demolished so likely something new is being planned for that space. On Soi 3 work continues on a fairly large boutique hotel and a hotel on Soi 4 just remodeled their empty, previously unused roof area and transformed it into Virgin Rooftop Pattaya, a very nice two-level restaurant and get-together spot. I've been fascinated by the reconstruction of the 747 on Second Road and I am watching the large space it sits on as it is morphing into Runway 88. Nearby, D Beach Hotel is adding a quite large third wing. Over on 3rd Road, Once Pattaya is nearing completion while work continues on another highrise condo down the road. Some sort of shopping/entertainment space with colorful buildings is going up on a large, open lot on the same side of the road. Work also continues on Grand Centre Point 2 and the other large hotel going up on Naklua Road. A few positives, among other projects in other areas not mentioned, in a negative period for Pattaya.

I dont know Hooters future in Thailand but as of now the only Hooters thats open is the Nana Hooters......These shutdowns are costing them $$$.....They have to be paying some kind of retention money to head cooks and managers or they will never be able to reopen....Plus food and beer stocks go bad so they have to keep restocking...How long they can stay in the game remains to be seen but if their valued spend freely tourist dont show up one of these days, I think Hooters might very well pull the plug on all the Hooters in Thailand....

Yes, similar length of time here and also not seen 80bht massages until recently. Both you and scuba correct. Enjoy your photos, even though they are a sign of very hard times. Thanks

The YTuber, Rides 4 Kickz, did a decent report recently on new constructions in and around Central Pattaya. Most were probably covered by the post of newnative but worth a look to add visuals to the narrative. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxnGfl9HHvw Edited January 31, 20215 yr by dabhand
