sharecropper Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Wasn't a wealthy foreigner/company developing this land about 10 years ago (or more) to make a resort/water park? I remember the lake being scooped out and loads of new trees being added.

Popular Post Henryford Posted September 3, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 3, 2020 A "park" ? apart from the coloured spaces for the children and the lake i don't see many green areas to walk around. I think the Thais have a different idea of what a park is. 5

Popular Post Katipo Posted September 3, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 3, 2020 A few dozen trees and a pond are hardly a "lung". I suppose it's better than nothing though. 3
rick44 Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 How difficult is it to include a Google Map in such a story, so readers can know where this is located? I sometimes wonder about Thai journalism... 1

Popular Post tyga Posted September 3, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 3, 2020 How about they just left some green places such as the wetlands around Jomtien and Na Jomtien that were once there? Place looks like Beruit now.... 2 3

trucking Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I think Pattaya needs CPR more than a new lung. 2

I use the parks around Pratumnak, a beautiful green lung but its mainly used by adults. Pattaya should be left alone as an adult city as all the other cities are family oriented. 1

Pattaya Spotter Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Might as well be in the proverbial Nakhon Nowhere...not a very convenient location for most tourists and locals. Are the developers of the Riviera at least chipping in a bit for the park as it looks to primarily benefit their buyers?

Your post makes me quite suspicious as to how long this park may survive after sales are completed.

mikebell Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 The new lung is to replace the old one, diseased by the smoke from broiling chickens on every corner and the diesel fumes from badly serviced vehicles ignored by Pattaya Plod.
